Re: Walking route to OS
I've just read that the section between West Ham Stn and Stratford High St will re-open at the end of May.

The bit between Stratford High St and the OS is unlikely to open before 2018 due to bridge reconstruction by TW at Waterworks river. A deviation down Warton Road seems the obvious alternative.

From pudding mill you walk under the rail bridge ad then upto the sewer bank and back down again.

West ham eventually you'll be able to walk the entirety of the sewer bank straight there but Thames water are doing work at the moment so the last leg is closed off and you'll have to go on via Mountfitchet road. Easier to get the DLR to statford high street and go from there.

Is the OS walkable/accessible from West Ham Tube station? Seems close or are there lots of canals in the way.

Re: Walking route to OS
You take the left hand side exit out of Stratford international (ie walking away from Westfield) and do a left, walk over the bridge and you'll find yourself on waterden road to the north of Westfield. You do a right there and after about 5 minutes you'll be able to take a left and walk directly to the stadium.

If conversely you are coming into the international station and need to be on the south side of the stadium, get on the DLR to Stratford high street and follow the route in via carpenters road.

You can go through westfield or avoid the crowds and come into the stadium island from the north.

Re: Walking route to OS
I don't see why you wouldn't, as you could do that for the Olympics, and they can't possibly just arbitrarily funnel every single person who gets off the train toward the stadium.

If you can't go through Westfield, they'll just take you round it, which won't take long
